Pansy update
Turns out, my biggest concern about planting pansies should have been the local rabbit population. Not two days after being planted, the tops were nibbled off of my plants!
I had seen these rabbits hopping around the yard for months. It never even occurred to me that they would snack on anything new I put in the yard! Looks like I can add rabbit-proof fencing to my spring to-do list.
I wound up planting one of the other 12-packs in a patio bed.
After a week of being planted, the rabbits still haven't found them! Success!
Originally I was going to plant the last 12-pack in another location, but I'm also not too thrilled with the idea of them being mowed down. This next weekend, I might plant the last 12-pack in the patio bed, as well as rescue the munched ones to be transplanted there too.
